Melanated Scripture is an immersive audio project that brings the Bible to life through dramatic, multi-voice performances of the World English Bible.

Rooted in the conviction that the Bible emerged from Africa, Asia, and the ancient Near East, the project reintroduces listeners to scripture through voices that reflect the people, places, and cultures of the biblical world.

Alongside the audio experience, Melanated Scripture creates apparel and goods inspired by the text, inviting scripture to move beyond the page and into everyday life.

Why Melanated Scripture?

For generations, biblical imagery, media, and storytelling have often been detached from the geographic and cultural realities of the world in which scripture unfolded.

Melanated Scripture exists to reconnect listeners with that context—not by changing the Word, but by changing the frame through which many have been taught to see it.
